This robot arm, developed in 1990, is a myoelectrically controlled prosthetic hand that anyone can use as soon as it is put on, without any special training. It weighs only 370g, but it moves in accordance with the object it is holding, allowing it to grip firmly. Its natural form and movement and feel, which are hard to believe are mechanical, drew attention from all quarters at the time.
